Several students in ICC's Public Speaking course offered their own personal stories of inspiration recently at an inspirational event at Metamora High School.

Freshmen students in the GM-ASEP program at Illinois Central College are preparing for the first of four internships they will complete as part of their training.

Illinois Central College, East Peoria, presented diplomas and/or certificates to nearly 1,000 students who completed their program of study during the Spring 2014 semester. Graduates were formally recognized during ceremonies May 17 at the ICC CougarPlex.

Illinois Central College presented Dean's List honors to students who earned a grade point average of 3.5 - 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

ICC students receiving a perfect 4.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) were honored by being named to the President's List for the Spring 2014 semester.

The Diesel Powered Equipment Technology (DPET) Program at Illinois Central College annually presents its Oustanding Graduate Award based on technical scholastic achievement, community and college activities, work ethic, internship performance, communications ability, diagnostic skills, professionalism, and ability to work with others.

Students in the Diesel Powered Equipment Technology Program at Illinois Central College recently completed an internship as part of their associate in applied science degree program.

Students in the ICC agriculture program recently completed spring internships as part of their programs of study. The internships are a requirement for ag students earning an associate in applied science degree and allow them to apply the knowledge and skills from their coursework in the real world of work.

Thirteen students recently completed internships as part of the paralegal program at Illinois Central College. As part of their program of study, the students completed a 225-hour internship at a law firm, pro-bono office, or governmental agency and worked under the supervision of a licensed attorney.

Staff of the ICC Harbinger, the student newspaper, received top awards during the spring conference of the Illinois Community College Journalism Association in Palos Hills.
