Media Advisory: Illinois Central College Hosts Apprenticeship Signing and Recognition Day
East Peoria, IL (11/18/2024) — Illinois Central College (ICC) is hosting an Apprenticeship Signing and Recognition Day event to showcase the positive impact apprenticeships have on advancing students' careers, providing a skilled workforce for local businesses, and growing the regional economy. Cameron Joost, Assistant Director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, will be in attendance to present a proclamation on behalf of Governor J.B. Pritzker.
Students who are starting apprenticeships will sign contracts with their new employers, and students who have completed their apprenticeships will be recognized. The event is part of the U.S. Department of Labor's tenth annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW).
