Illinois Central College Hosts IT Workforce Accelerator Job Fair

East Peoria, IL (09/19/2023) — Local Information Technology organizations will be showcasing their open employment opportunities at the IT Workforce Accelerator Job Fair in the Technology Center on the East Peoria Campus. This event is free and open to the public. The job fair is hosted by ICC Career Services and is sponsored by the IT Workforce Accelerator Grant with ICC, Bradley University, and Eureka College.

Illinois Central College, Bradley University, and Eureka College collectively received $15 million through the U.S. Economic Development Administration Good Jobs Challenge Grant, a $500 million grant program funded by the American Rescue Plan, to develop the local information technology (IT) workforce through a talent pipeline management system. The grant is addressing the need for skilled IT workers in Central Illinois by ensuring 1,000 individuals new to the field and those who want to level up to a new position have credentials by taking classes free of charge.
