Tyler Barlow and Medical Lab Technician Teammates Win State Competition

Tyler Barlow, of Peoria, Ill., along with fellow members of the "Cryptococcus Keepers" team from the ICC Medical Laboratory Technician Program won the championship at the Annual Medical Laboratory Science Student Bowl held on April 20 in Naperville, Ill. The team is advised by Professor Anh Strow.

A total of 11 teams from medical laboratory science two- and four-year programs from across the State competed, including Illinois Central College, the University of Illinois at Springfield, Northern Illinois University, NorthShore University Healthsystem, OSF Saint Francis School of Medical Laboratory Science, St. John's Hospital School of Medical Laboratory Science, and Elgin Community College.
