Sara Mackey Member of Green Expo Team for 2011

Sara Mackey, Edwards, of Wildlife Prairie State Park, is serving on the planning committee for the 2011 Central Illinois Green Expo which will be held September 9 & 10 at the Illinois Central College East Peoria Campus.

The two-day event will showcase local food, community-based sustainability planning, and central Illinois "green teams." In addition, community members can learn more about energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable living during this second annual event which is free and open to th public. The expo will also feature exhibitor booths, presentations on a variety of "green topics," children's activities, and locally grown food.
