Sam Misigaro Wins National Honors for Speech

Sam Misigaro, of Peoria, is a member of the Illinois Central College Speech Team that recently won silver medal honors in its division at the Phi Fho Pi National Speech Tournament held in Los Angeles, California. The team also won sixth place over all teams in the competition.

Individually, Misigaro won two national championships, one in speech to entertain and one in duo interpretation with Bryson Thomas. Misigaro also won a silver medal in poetry interpretation.

The team is coached by Kair Schimmel and assistant coach Andy Kirk.
