Logan Winkler Wins Top Honors at Skills USA

Logan Winkler, of Pekin, IL, recently competed in the Skills USA National Championship held in Kansas City, Missouri. Representing Illinois Central College, East Peoria, Winkler won fifth place in Telecommunications/Data Cabling. Four ICC students placed among the top five in the nation in their respective divisions.

The competition tests students' knowledge and skills within their technical area of study and includes both written and hands-on testing and problem-solving. Students are expected to perform the same type of work they would complete in the workplace and are evaluated based on their knowledge and technical skill within their field.

Skills USA is a national organization with more than 13,000 school chapters and more than 300,000 student and instructor members.
