Kristina Austin Wins Journalism Award for ICC Student Newspaper

Kristina Austin, of Edelstein, IL, was recently recognized at the Illinois Community College Journalism Association's 39th Annual Conference in Springfield for work with The Harbinger, the Illinois Central College student newspaper. Austin won first place in news, second place in column writing, and third place in features. In addition to the individual student awards, the newspaper also received the Mike Foster Award for overall excellence.
