Bryson Thomas Wins National Honors for Speech

Bryson Thomas, of Peoria, is a member of the Illinois Central College Speech Team that recently won silver medal honors in its division at the Phi Fho Pi National Speech Tournament held in Los Angeles, California. The team also won sixth place over all teams in the competition.

Individually, Thomas won a national championship in duo interpretation with Sam Misigaro of Peoria. Thomas also won a silver medal in prose interpretation.

The team is coached by Kair Schimmel and assistant coach Andy Kirk.
