Illinois Central College Hosts 41st Annual Landscape and Garden Day

East Peoria, IL (08/24/2022) — Illinois Central College Horticulture program will host the 41st Annual Landscape and Garden Day on Saturday, September 10, from 9 am to 3 pm, at the ICC Horticulture Land Lab on the East Peoria Campus. This free event is open to the public. For students interested in a career in horticulture, there will be admissions staff available to assist from 9 am to noon, or you can request information from the event webpage.

"This event is a great way for novice and expert gardeners alike to gain hands on experience that they can take with them to their own gardens. Students involved in our horticulture program have a high placement rate in careers due to their experience working with an accredited All-American Selections Garden," said ICC Horticulture Program Director Corinne Brown.

This year's event is themed "Games in the Garden" and features seminars with topics of interest to the novice or experience leveled gardeners. The newest winners of the All-America Selections will be showcased, featuring the best and brightest flowers and vegetables available for next year's home gardens.

Tours of the facility and greenhouse will be provided, as well as family friendly activities. There will be a plant sale featuring hostas and other perennials and woody plants grown by students in the ICC Horticulture program. Visitors can also enjoy displays by area garden clubs, nurseries, and landscapers.

Free parking is available with shuttle service from Lots A2 and B2. Accessible parking is available in Lot G.
