Illinois Central College Hosts 20 Local Law Enforcement Employers for Career Fair

East Peoria, IL (10/06/2023) — Illinois Central College invites students, graduates, and community members interested in criminal justice and law enforcement careers to attend the Criminal Justice Career Fair featuring 20 local employers. The Career Fair will be held on October 11, from 3 - 6 PM in the Student Center on the Peoria Campus.

Agencies in attendance will include:

  • Peoria Police Department
  • Peoria County Sheriff's Office
  • Peoria County Jail
  • East Peoria Police Department
  • ICC Police Department
  • Tazewell County Sheriff's Office
  • Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center
  • Chillicothe Police Department
  • Peoria County Adult Probation Office
  • Peoria County Juvenile Probation Office

ICC offers a Criminal Justice transfer degree, taught by exceptional faculty who have extensive expertise in criminal justice on the local, federal, and international level. "This is a comprehensive degree which prepares students for continued educational pursuits and/or a career in the Criminal Justice field," says Doug Heuermann, the Criminal Justice Program Coordinator and Retired Chief U.S. Probation Officer.
