15th Annual Discover Manufacturing Expo at Illinois Central College
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
East Peoria, IL (10/02/2023) — ICC invites media to attend the 2-day Discover Manufacturing Career Expo, which encourages students to seek high-skilled, high-wage careers in all areas of the manufacturing industry. Each day, over 200 high school students will rotate through work stations in local manufacturing facilities and see first-hand how high-tech this industry has become. BTD Manufacturing, Morton Industries, Caterpillar, and Komatsu have hand-selected young and talented employees to spend the day with our visiting high school youth. They want to share their experience and showcase how manufacturing today holds opportunities for advancement and success in a variety of careers.
After touring local manufacturing facilities, students will travel to Illinois Central College, East Peoria for lunch, and a chance to see ICC labs and meet with faculty and students. Additional local manufacturing representatives will be available to talk with the students about the many different career paths and job opportunities available across the spectrum of manufacturing in Central Illinois.
